１．Israel’s military says it has implemented a ceasefire in the operation against Iran in accordance with directives from the political leadership. In an announcement on Wednesday, the military also said it is highly prepared to respond against any violation.
２．Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae has held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian by telephone. She conveyed Japan’s stance that quick de-escalation of the situation is most important, and strongly called for ensuring safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Takaichi spoke with Pezeshkian for about 25 minutes on Wednesday afternoon.
３．Photographs taken from the far side of the moon by astronauts in the US-led Artemis II mission have been released by the US space agency NASA. The lunar exploration program’s first manned spacecraft flew around the far side of the moon, and on Monday reached the farthest distance from Earth ever traveled by humans.
