The magnitude 7.7 quake struck the central part of the country near Mandalay on Friday. Aftershocks are hindering rescue efforts, and badly damaged buildings are at risk of crashing down.
3. US President Donald Trump has indicated that he is planning to make a major announcement about details of reciprocal tariffs on Tuesday night on Wednesday.
